Nasal Fractures

A Broken Nose

A nasal fracture, more commonly referred to as a broken nose, can alter your appearance and breathing ability if not treated immediately.

If you are struck in the nose, it is important to have a physician look at it immediately. A septal hematoma may be present from the accident and must be treated to prevent future problems from developing. If you nose is broken our otolaryngologists can treat the problem by repositioning the nose, and in rare cases, using surgical methods to fix the appearance of your nose. Do not wait to see a doctor have the incident occurs, no more than two weeks, or you may delay the process to fix your nose.

Dr. Miya and Dr. Torchinsky will go over all of your options with you during your initial appointment if you think you may have a nasal fracture.
